Pueblo County Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Board

Established:  The Pueblo County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will be accepting and reviewing applications for interest in serving on a proposed Pueblo County Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Board.  Pursuant to C.R.S. sections 12-47-103(17), 12-43.4-104(5), 12-43.4-103(7), and 12-18-101, the BOCC is authorized to designate by resolution the local licensing authority for liquor, marijuana and dance hall establishments.  The BOCC has determined that it is in the best interest of the Pueblo community to have a liquor, marijuana, and dance hall licensing authority independent of the BOCC.

Composition:  The Pueblo County Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Board consists of seven (7) members, who are appointed and serve at the pleasure of the BOCC in staggered three (3) year terms. Board members must reside within Pueblo County.

Function:  The Pueblo County Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Board serve as the local licensing authority for all liquor, marijuana and dance hall establishments.  The Pueblo County Liquor and Marijuana Licensing Board has the duties and authorities conveyed by Pueblo County Code (Chapters 5.04 and 5.12 of Title 5), State Statutes (Articles 18, 43.3, 43.4 and 47 of Title 12, C.R.S.) and promulgated State Rules for liquor and marijuana establishments.  Duties include the licensing and regulating of all liquor, marijuana and dance hall establishments in unincorporated Pueblo County.
