The health department has been involved with many policies and efforts in the community to:
- Prevent children from buying tobacco products.
- Promote ways to help people quit.
- Protect everyone from secondhand smoke and other exposures.

Smoke-Free Parks in Canon City: Supported to develop a policy prohibiting Smoking Near Recreational Areas
