Birth and death certificates are available through the Pueblo Vital Records Office that occurred anywhere in the State of Colorado! Fees are listed below. Applications can be mailed to the local office (see related files on the right column for appropriate application form) with appropriate identification and required fees. Applications and certificates can also be obtained by visiting the local Vital Records Office at the Pueblo City-County Health Department.
The office is located on the first floor open 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Processing of requests takes 10-15 minutes to complete if proper identification is provided. Fees for Certificates -
Birth Certificates: $17.75 for the 1st Copy and $10.00 for additional copies of the same record ordered at the same time.
Death Certificates: $20.00 for the 1st Copy and $13.00 for additional copies of the same record ordered at the same time.
The Vital Statistics Office maintains birth and death records. The Pueblo office has birth and death records and ledgers with genealogy information from the year 1897. These certificates are certified legal documents and can be used for passports, traveling, school registration and driver’s licenses etc.
For walk-in requests the Vital Records Office accepts Visa, MasterCard, check, cash or money orders. For your convenience, you can process online requests through an independent company that is a partner with the Pueblo Vital Records Office to provide you this service - VitalChek Network, Inc.
