Covering a half-mile stretch of the Arkansas River, the Pueblo Whitewater Park has become a popular recreational outlet for local residents and visitors. The park, which cuts through downtown Pueblo, has eight water features. All produce hydraulic action – a key ingredient for kayaking. If the man-made rapids prove too formidable for beginners, the park is a great place to simply enjoy the lovely Arkansas River and its scenery.
