2040 Long Range Transportation Planning
MPO Staff is working diligently on scheduling public meetings and completing the new 2040 LRTP. The 2040 LRTP is expected to be drafted within the new couple of months with a new approach on future goals and projects. As the current generation is evolving we feel it is important to also take a 'time's are changing' approach to provide a solid document with realistic and achievable goals. MPO Staff is currently learning the in's and out's of the Pueblo Transit system by hitting the streets and eliminating extra driving trips by actually riding the bus. The Transit portion of the LRTP has not been updated or refreshed much in the last couple of Plans and having the opportunity to really learn and utilize the system will give us a great opportunity to set some specific and achievable goals. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the 2040 LRTP please contact any of the staff members, Also, make sure to continue to follow our public meetings page for updates on the latest meeting dates.

This model will set projections for the future, these current statistics and projections will be used for the Regional Comprehensive Plan and the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan. Please review the latest update from HDR, Inc here, this presentation was given to the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) at the June 5, 2014 regular monthly meeting. There was a great deal of data collection that took place and HDR, Inc. and consultants are now wrapped up with Phase I of the project and moving into the Phase II work.
