Design Guidelines and Standards
In partnership with the City Center Partnership, the City of Pueblo created the City Center Streetscape Standards and the City Center Design Guidelines. The intent of these documents is to provide a cohesive framework to follow as development continues to occur within City Center.
These documents provide guidance for the entire district in unifying the visual image of City Center by creating a series of public sitting areas, completing the rhythm of street trees and street lighting, and providing landscaping with seasonal color or other qualities of visual interest. The documents also aim to create a pedestrian-oriented environment in City Center that is safe, accessible, visually pleasing and comfortable. In addition, the documents provide a framework for establishing a wayfinding signage hierarchy, as well as enriching the district with public art.
