Biking and Hiking
There is something for every type of mountain biker or hiker in the Pueblo area. From the beginner to the expert, you can find just about any type of trail in the 70 miles of trails in the surrounding area.
River Trails: 24.5 miles multi-use trails
Arkansas River - runs 14 miles west to North Marina of Lake Pueblo from Runyon Lake, additional trails to South Marina
Fountain Creek - runs 7 miles north to CSU-P from Runyon Lake
Wildhorse Creek - runs 1.5 miles west where Mural Dike begins to 18th Street
Phipps Creek - runs 1.5 miles north-west to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk Park from Runyon Lake

Arkansas River Trail mentioned above
South Shore trails includes 37.6 miles of single and double track trails in the prairie south of the marina and up on the plateaus. There are easy, intermediate and expert level trails in this area.
Department of Wildlife areas: Many consider these trails as part of Lake Pueblo State Park but mostly lie in DOW areas.
North Shore trails includes 10 miles of single track trails go into Department of Wildlife areas. Additional trails lie west closer to Swallows Road.
Pueblo West trails: over 20 miles of dirt utility roads and multi-use trails lie under power lines and along drainage easements. These trails are for non-motorized use except for authorized vehicles.
