Pueblo Human Relations Commission

The Board of Pueblo County Commissioners is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission. The Human Relations Commission serves as an instrument through which the City and the County of Pueblo may officially encourage and bring about mutual understanding and respect for all persons of any race, creed, color, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin throughout Pueblo County, and helps give effect to equal rights for all persons as assured by the federal and state constitutions and laws.

The Commission is a 15-member board that: Advocates on behalf of all Pueblo County residents; Arbitrates discrimination complaints i.e., fair housing and civil rights; Oversees cultural awareness training/education workshops; Sponsors forums for residents to express ideas and contribute toward the common objectives of the commission.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, August 9, 2024.  To apply, go to county.pueblo.org, select Departments, Boards and Commissions.
