Legislative Prayer Before Meetings

On March 18, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners passed Resolution 25-067, Approving A Policy Regarding Legislative Prayer Before Meetings Of The Pueblo County Board of County Commissioners.

Citizens who wish to be a prayer leader now have the opportunity to deliver an invocation, up to 2 minutes in duration at the Commissioner’s Statutory Meetings at 9AM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The Pueblo County policy must be adhered to, and can be found on this webpage.

The invocation is intended to solemnize the occasion of the meeting and shall neither proselytize nor advance any one faith or belief, nor disparage any other. Neither shall invocations establish a particular religion as the sanctioned nor official religion of the Board of Pueblo County Commissioners. To submit interest, complete the form below.
