  • Pueblo County Treasurer & Public Trustee

Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Kim Archuletta is a proud first-generation college graduate who earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University Pueblo. With over 20 years of experience managing budgets and leading customer service initiatives, Kim has built a career grounded in fiscal responsibility, integrity, and relationship-building.

Her diverse professional background spans banking, public education, and the cannabis industry—experiences that sharpened her financial acumen and deepened her understanding of community needs. Most notably, her time in the cannabis sector provided business lessons that extended beyond traditional textbooks, giving her a distinct edge in real-world problem-solving.

In a bold and values-driven move, Kim chose to run for Pueblo County Treasurer, challenging her supervisor, because she believed in the power of leadership to make a difference. Her successful election made history, as she became one of the few women to hold elected office in Pueblo County, changing the face of local politics and inspiring others to lead with courage.

As Treasurer, Kim is committed to modernizing the office through innovative technologies, transparent practices, and cost-effective solutions. She also has proudly served as chairwoman on two key regulatory boards, reinforcing her dedication to sound governance and community-first leadership. Many others have taken note of her interpersonal, leadership, and fiduciary skills and has been asked to sit as a board member on the Centennial State Liquid Investment Pool and The Greater Pueblo Sports Association.

Beyond her official duties, Kim’s mission is rooted in creating a legacy, not only for her family but for her entire community. She draws strength from her working-class roots: her father, a steelworker for over 40 years, and her mother, a dedicated school district employee of three decades. Their work ethic and sacrifice drive her passion to give back and to pave the way for future generations—especially women, Latinas, and first-generation leaders who dream of breaking barriers and building something lasting.

Kim Archuletta is not just serving a term; she’s building a legacy.
