Rye Mountain Park is a beautiful secluded alcove just outside the quaint foothills community of Rye. This park was originally laid out by Landscape Architect Arthur Carhart, who is credited with "inventing" recreational camping as we know it today. This park is one of the largest parks in the San Isabel National Forest designed by Carhart, and is a popular summer destination for local families. Nestled amongst a ponderosa pine forest, the park is home to several trails, picnic shelters, outdoor charcoal grills and playgrounds.

The popular park pavilion is perfect for large gatherings, and is used extensively. We have 3 pavilions that can be reserved.  All Day - $20 Reservation Fee.  We book up fast!  Be sure to reserve the pavilion in advance by calling 719-583-2960!

Our facilities are weatherized yearly from October through April. If you reserve during that time, you will be responsible for your own restrooms (porta-potty rentals).

Park hours: 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 7 days a week.

Please keep a copy of the confirmation form with you on the day of your event for verification of your reservation (printed or digital).

All camping and any alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Pueblo County Parks.

To cancel a reservation, please give us 48 hours notice. Call 719-583-2960.
