Concern about the coronavirus (COVID-19) is understandable and appropriate. Pueblo County and its partners are closely monitoring the situation for the safety of our residents and employees.

The information below is being updated regularly as the situation evolves. The decision to cancel events and/or limit services is based upon the guidance of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Governor Jared Polis.

The Pueblo County Courthouse closed to the public on 3/17/2020 and will be closed until further notice.
The Assessor, Clerk and Recorder, & Treasurer's Office will continue processing mail and online transactions, but these offices are not open to the public.

NOTICE: We are still open, the information below reflects our current hours of operation.  We are experiencing a high volume of calls to all county numbers, especially calls to Human Services. Please continue trying as we are committed to serving our citizens.

What can you do to help keep the community safe?

We urge all Pueblo County residents and community members to protect themselves with the most up-to-date coronavirus prevention practices and measures recommended by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Additionally, we are also at the height of flu season. As with any respiratory virus, people should continue to practice these everyday wellness steps:

  • Cough or sneeze into your sleeve, or if you use a tissue then discard the tissue and promptly wash your hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if hands are not visibly soiled.
  • Take extra precautions for those with chronic medical conditions
  • Older adults (over age 60) and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions, like heart or lung disease or diabetes, seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. Please consult with your health care provider about additional steps you may be able to take to protect yourself.

Limit close contact when you’re out in public and non-essential travel. Review more at CDC’s people at risk for serious illness from COVID-19.

Keep Up to Date
