Pueblo city and county residents may drop off waste tires at no cost on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
The event will begin at 9:00 A.M. and run until 3:00 P.M. at Pueblo RecycleWorks, located at 1595 Stockyard Road.
A limit of nine tires per vehicle, per household, may be recycled at no cost during the event. Passenger tires, light truck tires, and ATV tires, all without rims, will be accepted. Semi tires, tractor tires, tires with rims, or tires coated in dirt or filled with water will not be accepted.
Waste tires can create several problems for the environment when left outside and not properly recycled. Waste tires often collect rainwater and serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes who may carry West Nile Virus. Tire fires, although infrequent, are also serious situations that are difficult to extinguish and expensive to clean-up.
Individuals with questions are encouraged to call the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment at (719) 583-4309.
