FEMA has provided Pueblo County with preliminary copies of the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Pueblo County, Colorado.  FEMA is giving our community an opportunity to review these Preliminary flood hazard materials to identify changes or corrections to non-technical information, such as corporate limits, road names, and stream names on the FIRM panels or in the FIS report.

There will be a formal community coordination meeting with a “Consultation Coordination Officer” (COO) to discuss the revised flood hazard information, regulation adoption, and other frequently asked questions and concerns. The City along with Pueblo County will be hosting a public meeting to discuss the preliminary FEMA Flood Maps with FEMA personnel from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on May 24, 2016 at the City of Pueblo’s HR Conference Room located at 301 West B Street, Pueblo, Colorado.

For your convenience and review here is a copy of the Preliminary Issuance Letter, Fact Sheet, Flood Insurance Study, the Final Summary of Map Actions, and the Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
