• Accepting Applications for Pueblo Human Relations Commission

    The Board of Pueblo County Commissioners is seeking interested volunteers to serve on the Pueblo Human Relations Commission. The Human Relations Commission serves as an instrument through which the City and the County of Pueblo may officially encourage and bring about mutual understanding and respect for all persons of any race, creed, color, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin throughout Pueblo County, and helps give effect to equal rights for all persons as assured by the federal and state constitutions and laws.

    The Commission is a 15-member board that: Advocates on behalf of all Pueblo County residents; Arbitrates discrimination complaints i.e., fair housing and civil rights; Oversees cultural awareness training/education workshops; Sponsors forums for residents to express ideas and contribute toward the common objectives of the commission.

    Post-Election next steps for informational purposes:

    • Counting of all provisional ballots will be completed within 9 days after Election Day  (C.R.S. 1-8.5-105). A post-election update with unofficial results from Pueblo County will be published by November 14th.
    • The Official certification of votes cast in the 2024 General Election will take place no later than the twenty-second day after Election Day (C.R.S. 1-10-102). The Pueblo County Canvass Board is scheduled to Certify Election results on November 25, 2024.
    • Immediately after the official abstract of votes cast has been certified by the Pueblo County Canvass Board, official results will be transmitted to the Colorado Secretary of State (C.R.S. 1-10-103).

    The Pueblo County Planning Commission is a nine-member Commission appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  The Commission’s responsibilities include review, approval, and recommendation in matters of land use planning, zoning, and subdivision.
