Septic Tank Maintenance and Reasons for Inspection Failures in Pueblo County in 2023

In order to maintain a healthy septic system in your home, it is important to schedule inspections and tank cleanings every three years, limit harsh cleaners that go down the drain, and space out heavy water usage over several days.

Do not add commercial septic system additives, allow children to play on the septic tank manhole covers, or flush paper towels, grease, wipes, etc. This is not an exhaustive list, so for more information on how to care for your septic system, visit the homeowner's guide.
