Peer Support Database

A peer support specialist is a person with "lived experience" who has been trained to support those who struggle with mental health, psychological trauma, or substance use. Their personal experience of these challenges provides peer support specialists with the expertise that professional training cannot replicate.

Pueblo County has an excellent community of peer support specialists ready to help individuals navigate their recovery journey. If you are looking for additional support, feel free to contact any of these individuals to get started.

Naloxone Chemical Structure

About Naloxone

When a person has overdosed, their breathing will slow and could stop. Naloxone reverses the effects of an opioid overdose (including Fentanyl). Naloxone has no effect on someone who has no opioids in their system, it does not cause a high, and it is not addictive. Naloxone only works to reverse an opioid overdose for 30 to 90 minutes. After administering naloxone, it is essential to call 911 for the overdose victim to seek medical attention.
